Busstop7 Open Air Market Review

I wasn’t expecting much from a market “way out on the R50 towards Delmas,” but Busstop7 completely blew me away during our recent birthday celebration visit.

A Pleasant Surprise

Having visited most markets in the Pretoria area, I thought I knew what to expect. But as we pulled into the surprisingly busy parking area on a Sunday afternoon, I could see this place buzzing with energy. The R25 entrance fee per person seemed reasonable given the lively atmosphere that greeted us.

What You’ll Find

Busstop7 serves as a vibrant marketplace where entrepreneurs and craftsmen showcase their talents. Rows of stalls offer everything from affordable R50 trinkets to premium items over R1000, giving you plenty to browse while soaking up the atmosphere.

The food variety impressed us most. We settled in with nachos, craft bubbly, and mini doughnuts for dessert while enjoying live acoustic entertainment – exactly what you want for a relaxed birthday celebration. Budget around R150-R200 per person for food and drinks, which felt fair for the quality and experience.

Family and Pet-Friendly

The venue welcomes both children and pets, making it perfect for family outings or casual gatherings with friends.

One Small Challenge

My only constructive feedback involves seating. While the market offers shaded areas, there are more visitors than shaded spots available. We had to wait for others to finish before securing a comfortable place to sit and eat. Arriving early would solve this – though I’m not sure if this was typical Sunday crowding or due to the special entertainment that day.

Final Thoughts

Despite the minor seating wait, Busstop7 delivered an awesome Sunday afternoon experience. It’s particularly perfect for groups wanting a laid-back venue with good food, drinks, shopping, and entertainment all in one place.

That’s it from me on the Busstop7 Open Air Market Review. May it inspire you to go and check them out.
