2. Fort Klapperkop

Fort Klapperkop is one of the four forts constructed by the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek (ZAR) under the leadership of Paul Kruger between 1896 and 1898.

4. Fort Schanskop

Fort Schanskop was constructed by German architects to safeguard Pretoria against attacks on the Johannesburg railway line and the national road.

It was built following the Jameson Raid in 1896 when President Paul Kruger decided to erect forts to protect Pretoria.

20. Melrose House Museum
